You will provide territorial and regional legal support for all commercial activities and corporate matters in the EMEA region.

For the Global Legal & Compliance Department of PerkinElmer we are looking for a Deputy General Counsel in the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you are responsible to provide territorial and regional, broad-based legal support for all commercial activities and corporate matters in EMEA for PerkinElmer.

You partner with product teams and commercial teams to review, draft and negotiate sales and service and indirect channel transactions, provide legal tender support and advise the business on several topics such as compliance, privacy and promotional matters.

Furthermore you provide broad legal assistance to corporate functions such as HR and Finance and support them with employment matters, litigation and/or M&A activities from time to time. If necessary, you will manage and coordinate legal matters with outside counsel. You also give advice and training on legal and compliance programs and policies.

PerkinElmer has offices in several countries in Europe, from where this position can be performed. It is also possible to work remotely.

Profiel

  • Law degree obtained from a reputable European or American university
  • Approximately 10 years or more relevant legal work experience
  • Generalist legal professional, extensive experience in international, commercial contracting
  • Ability to work independently, well-organized
  • Team player with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Energetic, proactive and self-motivated
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills are beneficial
